Model Rocket Launch info for our flying in Hunt County, TX (small class-1 only)

This is a trial launch, working with the airport and city.

The rocket shown above is the "Gargas Paradox". It was designed by Bill Gee (member and Secretary of DARS.) The fins and black nose rocket are taken from the club logo.

Another new launch site to try, yet more East of Dallas.

Launches will usually start set-up about 9:30am
plan to launch between 10am and 4pm.
Please try to help pack up the range before you leave.

Bring out all your models: Although engine impulse and altitude may be limited by wind and weather conditions.
Plan for "D" impulse and 1,000ft minimums.

On-Site restroom facilities are available!

Driving directions: Coming East from Dallas.

[1] Head east on I-30 across Lake Ray Hubbard,
into and past Rockwall.
[2] Continue eastbound on I-30, take exit-83
about 13.5 miles east of Rockwall.
[3] Turn left under the freeway onto cr.1565
go north past the drag-strip and the kart track.
[4] Continue north on cr.1565 about 2.4 miles
to cr.2662, airport entrance is on the left.
